R920 Rutile Titanium Dioxide Pigment For Powder Coating
A rutile titanium dioxide pigment, R-920 is manufactured by the chloride process and is supplied as a fine, dry powder. It is specifically formulated to perform well in a wide range of solvent-based and aqueous systems and provides:
- develops higher hiding power and tinting strength at high pigment volume concentrations than rutile pigments with lower inorganic surface
- imparts a neutral tone and high brightness to coatings
- improves the brightness and opacity of paper coatings
- disperses readily
- confers good exterior durability on coatings
- has a higher water and dispersant demand than standard grades
Applications where Rutile type chloride process titanium dioxide R920 is of particular value, are:
- Industrial maintenance, implement, and transportation finishes
- Container coatings
- Architectural interior flat, semi-gloss, and exterior finishes
- Exterior industrial finishes except those requiring the highest level of durability
- Powder coatings
